Dr. Randy Herman graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1975. In 1976 he opened New Hope Animal Hospital with a vision to provide quality veterinary care to the residents of the northwest suburbs of Minneapolis. His interests include general medicine, ultrasound, and the technological transformation of veterinary medicine. Dr. Herman is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association and Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association. He is a founding member of the Animal Care Foundation and Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Service. He is a past president of the Metropolitan Animal Hospital Association and past member of the board of directors for the Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Service. He has lectured at the
grooming school on dermatology and CPR. He has also spoken to the student body at the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Janet Gordon graduated from Kansas State University in 1981. While a student, she was a member of the honor society of Phi Zeta. As a practitioner her interests include soft tissue surgery, reconstructive surgery, and Avian medicine. She is a long time member of the American Animal Hospital Association, Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association, and Association of Avian Veterinarians. Dr. Gordon is very artistic and has illustrated numerous articles and a book on Equine colic. Her organizational lectures include Companion Bird Association meetings, MVMA on avian medicine. She has been featured on public cable TV shows and local radio talk shows on pet care.
Dr. Lori Pfeifer graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. Her clinical interests are varied and include avian and small mammals. Her membership in professional organizations include the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Avian Veterinarians, and the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association. She has completed additional training in Advanced Gerontology at Purdue University Center of Aging and Life Course. Dr. Pfeifer was a clinical professor at the University of Minnesota, training freshman and senior veterinary students in clinical practice outside of the University. She is the recipient of many awards in small animal medicine and the student surgery award at the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Carla Kilty graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Her special interests include small animal medicine and surgery. Her professional associations include the American Animal Hospital Association and Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Kilty currently lectures at MSB/Globe in the Pharmacology department.
